Please join us in praying for these six strategic initiatives:

(1) Develop SPIRITUAL FORMATION process.

One of the primary roles of any local church is to develop disciples. At St. Paul's, we express this in our mission statement: "ENCOUNTERING God TOGETHER and BECOMING fully devoted to following Him." This is the essence of discipleship.

This strategic initiative is focused on developing the spiritual formation process that we use as a church to help people become fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

(2) Wire INCARNATIONAL EVANGELISM into our DNA as a church.

As we read the scriptures we see a very simple yet effective "evangelism strategy" practiced by Jesus and his followers. They all practiced incarnational evangelism.

This strategic initiative is focused on building this form of relational evangelism into our DNA as a church.

(3) Increase CAPACITY.

If we are effective in developing fully-devoted followers of Jesus Christ and in developing a culture of incarnational evangelism, we will need to increase our capacity as a church. In order to do this we hope to become "one church, many locations" by creating multiple "campuses" of St. Paul's.

Our goals for this initiative include:

(1) Increasing the number of services offered at our Storrs-Mansfield campus.

(2) Develop a master-plan for facility needs and begin implementing that plan.

(3) Launch "satellite venues" or campuses within the 30 minute radius of St. Paul's, focused on college students, 20-somethings, and other identified under-served and under-evangelized groups.

(4) Have a total of 2000 seats available every weekend across our campuses.

(4) Grow SMALLER as we grow BIGGER.

As we grow bigger as a church and increase our capacity by expanding our current location and adding new venues/campuses, it will be critical for us to "grow smaller as we grow bigger" through the development of small groups.

We need to become a "church of small groups" not a "church with small groups".

(5) GLOBAL IMPACT through Missions.

Every New Testament church is obligated to be a "missional church". The Great Commission commands us to take the Gospel to the world.

This strategic initiative is focused on developing a that has sustainable, long-term global impact, with a focus on five areas:

(1) PLANTING of churches, both regionally and globally.

(2) EQUIPPING of leaders and pastors globally.

(3) ASSISTING the poor and fighting poverty.

(4) CARING for the sick, including a focus on the Global AIDS pandemic.

(5) EDUCATING the next generation.

(6) LEADERSHIP Multiplication.

One of our core values at St. Paul's is the belief that the local church should be led by men and women with the leadership gift. We are committed to developing leaders to build St. Paul's and the church universal.

This strategic initiative includes a focus on:

(1) Timothy Project (Internships)

(2) Leadership Training & Development

(3) Women's Leadership Initiative
