Our Purposes

We believe that healthy churches focus all their ministry in five core purposes described in the bible and practiced by the church for 2000 years: worship, fellowship, discipleship, ministry, and evangelism/mission.
In order to maintain health and balance in our church, we are organized around these core purposes:
WORSHIP
"We were planned for God's pleasure."
We WORSHIP God together. Worship begins and ends with God. Connecting to the one, holy, universal, apostolic church, we offer our whole lives as a thanksgiving to God.
Mt 22:34-40; Acts 2:42-47; Rom. 12:1FELLOWSHIP
"We were formed for God's family."
We LOVE each other through FELLOWSHIP. We live in an authentic Biblical Community, sharing both our burdens and resources, experiencing genuine relationships and embodying "holy love" to one another.
Jn 13:34-35; Acts 2:42-47DISCIPLESHIP
"We were created to be like Christ."
We LEARN from Scripture through DISCIPLESHIP. People are becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ through spiritual formation and lifelong learning.
Mt 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47MINISTRY
"We were shaped to serve God by serving others."
We SERVE the church and the community. Every member is a minister and members are empowered to use their gifts to build His church; people's practical, relational and spiritual needs are met locally and across the globe.
Mt 22:34-40; Mt 25:31-46; Acts 2:42-47MISSION
"We were made for a mission"
We ENGAGE our friends, neighbors and world with Gospel of Jesus Christ by sharing our faith, inviting them to encounter God, and serving the needs of our neighbors, both locally and globally.
Mt 28:18-20; Acts 2:42-47
