St. Paul's Collegiate Church is a post-denominational, evangelical, Christian church. We are often asked what the difference is between "post-denominational" and "non-denominational". The answer is that functionally they are synonymous.
While we are not affiliated with any particular denomination, we are members of several groups and networks of churches that work together missionally.
WILLOW CREEK ASSOCIATION
The Willow Creek Association was founded in 1992, and works to link like-minded, action-oriented churches with each other and with strategic vision, training, and resources. We are driven by a calling to serve Christ-following leaders as they build biblically functioning churches—authentic, Acts 2 communities of faith that reach increasing numbers of lost people and grow them into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. The WCA's goal is to seek out and share God-given breakthroughs with widespread potential from churches around the world, supporting a rapid diffusion of innovation through the local church for the sake of Christ and His Kingdom. The WCA is a not-for-profit ministry, with more than 12,000 Member Churches from 90 denominations and 45 countries. These churches, and others we serve, represent a wide variety of sizes, denominations, and backgrounds, and are ministering in literally every corner of the world.
While pursuing their own unique, God-given vision for ministry in their own communities, Member Churches confirm a shared commitment to Christ and a passion for reaching those who are not yet part of His family.

NEXT LEADER ASSOCIATION
Next Leadership Association (NLA) was established in 2004 and now has offices in Tacoma, Washington and Bellingham, Washington. NLA began as an outgrowth of like-minded leaders in non-profit and church plant settings. The various aspects of NLA, including consulting, connecting and credentialing came about as a practical service to men and women in the growing future world of non and interdenominational ministry. NLA is recognized as a non-profit organization (501c3) with the Internal Revenue Service.Several specific challenges led to the organization of NLA. First, many credentialed ministers don't align perfectly with the detailed statements of belief and mission of their denominations. In order for them to sign yearly renewal forms a violation of conscience occurs. Therefore, NLA offers a statement that is broad enough for a wider Christian constituency and yet lined up with the “non-negotiables” of the Bible. At times organizations ask too much of their constituents. NLA was born to encourage those embracing new leadership challenges in new territory and with different rules. The first question will always be: “How can we help?”
Second, NLA founders had a desire to provide support for emerging Christian leaders who stand at the intersection of generational and cultural shifts. These leaders often feel like “Lone Rangers” and are looking for the right people to run with. There is a common understanding that the Message is "in stone" but that the Methods are subject to constant evaluation and change. Third, NLA came into being to reinforce the idea that credentialing organizations exist to serve the minister and not the other way around.
NLA believes the agenda of Jesus Christ is best served by those who forge relationships across denominational lines. It’s time to think about efficiency and effectiveness. As the church universal, we all have a job to do and limited time in which to do it. And there’s no question in our minds that who we associate with is just as important as what we do.
